Excellent Stay in a Convenient Location

The staff were indeed helpful and friendly. The room included a fan, welcome in hot weather. The bed was comfortable, i appreciated that. Breakfast included plentiful options, I found the cooked breakfast especially enjoyable.

The room lacked a dedicated desk space, I found this inconvenient.

The room was clean and well-equipped with amenities. A kettle was available for making tea and coffee. Multiple charging points were accessible. Heavy curtains helped block out light for sleeping.

The hotel location is excellent for attending events at the nearby racecourse. The town centre is accessible via a walk down the main road. This walk creates a loop back, passing by the race course in about an hour.

cheery stay!

lovely greeting comfy room good breakfast

i got such a lovely greeting from edna and then will when i arrived. it was just what i needed after biking from bristol. edna even helped me with my phone that wouldn't charge, a lifesaver for day two. the rooms were really clean and comfy, and breakfast was so good and plentiful.

Our room was a standard double room. It looked a bit tired. i noticed cracks in the corners. the room felt quite small. we didn't really relax. it was more of a quick stop.

charming stay near the racecourse

huge car park english breakfast vintage wallpaper

the hotel had a huge car park with many easy parking spaces. i found the breakfast area great, and i enjoyed the superb english breakfast each morning. the decor caught my eye with vintage suitcase-style wallpaper.

the room lacked tables, an assumed standard.

average stay, some issues.

cramped room constant noise

the location was good for my needs, that's one thing i can say.

the room felt quite cramped, especially with luggage. there wasn't much space to move around and no proper wardrobe at all so my clothes were all creased. and there was a constant noise from the hallway which was very irritating, i barely sleep.

dirty wall untucked sheet

The wall near the bed was marked and had something stuck on it. it wasn't pleasant. a hair was on the sheet! the bottom sheet wasn't even tucked in. We found this strange. the shower corner had rust and looked dirty from a leak, which i didn't like.
